Ms. Mary E. Tyler of Mary E. Tyler Consulting, LLC is a star. Ms. Tyler facilitated a half-day Compression Planning session for my 2022 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) team in December of 2022. We came out with actionable recommendations that can be implemented for our 2023 CFC. All the participants were fired up after Mary facilitated and led these discussions. I would recommend we use her for another organization that I am involved in.

Graceworks Lutheran Services launched a targeted DEIB initiative in 2021 with an internal team known as Bridges. Mary served as a consultant to our Bridges team in 2022, helping members develop a more focused path forward. Her experiences with other organizations allowed her to offer sound guidance and feedback. One goal of the Bridges team was to identify ways to get all internal stakeholders involved in the DEIB conversations. Mary facilitated separate training sessions for Managers and our Board of Directors, emphasizing the role of inclusive leaders, the need to develop a safe space for dialog, and the need for courageous conversations. Mary’s facilitation skills, knowledge, support, and encouragement helped Graceworks continue to advance in our DEIB journey. I would highly recommend Mary to any organization seeking a strong facilitator to advance their own DEIB goals.

I've had the privilege of working with Mary Tyler on community equity work for many years when she was at the helm of NCCJ. I'm thrilled to continue working with her as she brings her immense knowledge of organizational dynamics and capacity building to lead her own consulting company. Mary is a deeply skilled facilitator whose empathy and clear communication style allow her clients to easily connect and learn. Mary recently led an extremely engaging workshop for the Dayton Chamber's EMPOWER: Women's Leadership Cohort that focused on inclusive leadership in our current times. I am so grateful for the work that Mary leads throughout our community.

Stephanie Keinath, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce

I have worked with Mary for over ten years, both with a community-wide violence prevention initiative and with my staff team of Prevention Professionals. She is the expert on diversity and inclusion in Montgomery County!

She has the uncanny ability to bring committees to a consensus. I watched her take a group of ten people who had gotten nowhere with planning for several months, help them define their strategies and outcomes, get them on track, and walk out of the room with actual plans and a renewed sense of purpose. All of this in less than 3 hours!

She can bring diversity and inclusion training and messages to groups so that everyone in the group feels safe and heard. This ability has been invaluable to my team of diverse individuals as we move along our journey of understanding our co-workers, where we come from, and why we feel and think the way we do.

Every group working with Mary benefits from her consistently powerful messaging and ability to foster courage in others.
